Colourful contribution to the Football World Cup : As one of the venues of the 2006 Football World Cup, the City of Nuremberg initiated an accompanying cultural programme. “documenta” participant Olaf Nicolai, for example, had three cage-like pavilions erected on Schütt Island within a public park.

In keeping with the World Cup theme, it is possible to play football in the pavilions, nicknamed ‘football cages’ by the citizens of Nuremberg. The pavilions are duplex hot-dip galvanised and power-coated in 3 colours.
